Background

Since 2022, a significant number of Ukrainian women have established or relocated micro- and small businesses to Poland. These entrepreneurs are increasingly integrated into the Polish business environment while maintaining operational and commercial ties with Ukraine. This session examines practical conditions for converting that presence into durable economic partnership for both countries.

Agenda

  1. Women’s Leadership under Pressure – Entrepreneurs managing relocation, family responsibilities, and business continuity face specific leadership challenges. This panel addresses resilience, decision-making under uncertainty,and sustainable working practices for founders in transition.
  2. Building the Infrastructure for Cooperation – The role of mentorship, peer networks, mediation, and Polish–Ukrainian women’s business communities in generating trust and identifying strategic partners.
  3. Legal and Administrative Barriers – A glance at divergences between Polish and Ukrainian business regulations, including – amongst others – employment rules for Ukrainian workers.
